Dr. Jill Norris is Professor and Chair of Epidemiology in the Colorado School of Public Health (CSPH). She has been with the University of Colorado Denver since 1990. She has served as founder and director of the PhD program in Epidemiology and as President of the CSPH Faculty Senate. She teaches courses in research methods, and genetic epidemiology. Dr. Norris' primary research interests are the epidemiology of type 1 diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis and celiac disease with a particular focus on the impact of nutrition on the immune system; and the genetic epidemiology of obesity, insulin resistance and type 2 diabetes. She is Co-Chair of the Diet Committee of the Environmental Determinants of Diabetes in the Young (TEDDY) study.
