Eddie received degrees in Chemical Engineering from the University of Colorado (BS) and Washington State University (MS and PhD). After completing an internship at Zymogenetics, he joined the Benaroya Research Institute as manager of the tetramer core. He leads a JDRF funded study to investigate the recognition of protein post-translationally modified antigens in type 1 diabetes and a cooperative multicenter assay validation study coordinated through the Immunology of Diabetes Society T cell Workshop. Eddie is also involved in several collaborative research projects, applying HLA tetramers to characterize the frequency and phenotype of epitope specific T cells.
