Dr. Myung-Shik Lee is Professor of Medicine, Samsung Medical Center, Sungkyunkwan University School of Medicine. He received M.D. from Seoul National University in 1981 and Ph.D. from the same university in 1990. After clinical training in the fields of internal medicine and endocrinology/metabolism, he underwent postdoctal training at the Scripps Research Institute, San Diego. Since 1995, he is working in the Div. of Endocrinology & Metabolism, Dept. of Medicine, Samsung Medical Center, Sungkyunkwan University. His main interests are innate immunity, cell death and autophagy in diabetes.
