Dario Vignali received his PhD in 1988 from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, University of London. He then held post-doctoral positions at the German Cancer Research Center, Heidelberg, Germany, followed by Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA. He is currently Vice Chair and Member (Full Professor equivalent) of the Department of Immunology, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memphis, Tennessee, USA. His research focuses on molecular and cellular aspects of regulatory T cell function, immune regulation by inhibitory receptors, and inhibitory cytokines (IL-35) in tumor immunity, mucosal immunity and type 1 diabetes.
